Soluble dietary fibre brings many advantages: from a nutritional perspective, soluble fibres are valuable ingredients that physiologically support weight management and digestion, contribute to a healthy cholesterol level, and promote bone health.
Two well-known soluble fibres are inulin and oligofructose (fructooligosaccharide (FOS)). With the soluble corn fibre PROMITOR®, we can offer an alternative to these products, with outstanding qualities:
- Fibre content of 70 to 85%
- Neutral flavour
- Low residual sugar content
- Excellent tolerance, with a tolerance level twice as high as inulin
- Optimal process and storage stability
- Robust supply chain based on GMO-free corn
PROMITOR® is suitable for many applications:
- Muesli bars and breakfast cereals
- Snacks, biscuits, and crackers
- Dairy products
- Sauces and dips
- Drinks
PROMITOR® is an especially practical ingredient for sugar reduction projects. With an energy rating of 2.6 kcal/g and a sweetness of approx. 10% that of saccharose, it is the ideal ingredient for devel-oping sugar-reduced foods. As a filler, PROMITOR® lends products an ideal texture and mouthfeel. Claims such as “no added sugar” or “sugar-reduced” can be made.
Unlike inulin and FOS, which break down into fructose over time in acidic foods, PROMITOR® does not become hydrolyzed and maintains a constant fibre content.
