The market is demanding alternatives to palm oil based products. With Lamequick CN 7720, BASF has launched a new whipping agent based on coconut fat to address the trend towards sustainable solutions in the emulsifiers segment.
For decades, Lamequick products have been the reliable whipping agent for producing light and fluffy fillings, mousse au chocolat and fruity-fresh dessert creams. Also for many years now, BASF has offered a whole series of Lamequick variants based on non-hydrogenated fats, covering all popular applications with properties such as freeze/thaw and acid stability. These products are almost all based on palm oil. A number of these products are already available with the RSPO “Segregated” sustainability certificate.
But if you are instead looking to avoid palm oil, RSPO certification and the debate over palm oil products altogether, then you can choose Lamequick CN 7720. This product naturally contains no hydrogenated fat. Its range of applications is wide. At high doses, it gives a creamy feeling in the mouth. At relatively low doses, it produces a fluffy mousse structure. The product comes as a powder and is easy to process and hardens quickly when whipped. It is equally suitable for creams with smooth surfaces and sharp edges.
